​Finding Your Voice: What Every New Author Needs to Know

I’ve learned so many lessons while writing my book, and let me tell you, it is a whirlwind.

There is stress and anxiety; you just want to make sure you put out something everyone will love, but the fear is still there. Are they going to hate it? Should I change some of it? So many questions go through your head, and you start to wonder if you’re good enough to write a book like other authors around you. Maybe you have a learning disability, so the writing process is harder for you, or perhaps you live a busy life and don't have all the time in the world to sit down and write.

As an indie author, I don't have a big publishing company behind me, so I’m doing most of it by myself or with the help of friends who already have books out. Learn from the ones who were there before you.

So, overall, never wonder if you're not good enough, because it is your own unique story. You are good enough, and there is always a group of readers out there who will love the type of books you write.
